Description: The stadium is pretty new, with small stands, and it was built 12 years ago after the clubs Caledonian and Inverness merged. The new team had to play on a new stadium, and that’s why this new stadium was built
Brief History: Built in 1996, Caledonian Stadium was Inverness’ Stadium in the first years, but when they gained promotion to Scottish premier league they had to change stadium and play at Pittodrie, Aberdeen, because Caledonian didn’t meet the requirements from Scottish premier League. In 2005, after a couple of modifications made to the stadium, the team came back here and there are a lot of plans to increase the stradium’s capacity in the future, by adding a west stand that would take the stadium’s capacity to over 10,000 places.
