Also the hunt for 3rd place is still ongoing between Motherwell, Dundee United & Hibs. While at the bottom of the table Gretna still look favourites to go down with Kilmarnock trailing them by 6 points.

Gordon Strachan will be looking for another awesome performance from his team much like the one earlier in the season that made celtic overcome european champions Ac Milan. Celtic Park is well renowned for its electric atmosphere at European games and the fans often spur the Bhoys on when against almost unsurmountable odds.
Barcelona will travel to celtic park with Eto, Ronaldinho, Henry & Messi these players alone are enough to strike fear into any defence so the likes of Stephen McManus & Paul Hartley better be on top of their game.
Celtic will be without Andreas Hinkel who is cup tied & Scott Brown who is suspended, Barry Robson may have to step in and fill the boots of Scott Brown which will be a big step for the former Dundee United man.

Well Celtic are the only Scottish team to have made it through to the Champions League group stages, this is the 2nd year in a row Gordon Strachan’s men have made it to the lucrative stages of the Champions League, Which is quite impressive considering the first time they did it was only last year. However the Bhoys face a daunting challenge as they face off aginst the mighty Barcelona with the first leg to be played at Celtic Park they will be looking to get a favourable result and ride their luck at the Nou Camp.

Description: Celtic Park has a capacity of 60,857 all seated and it’s the second largest sporting arena from Scotland, after Murrayfield and the second largest club football arena from the United Kingdom after Manchester United and it has four stands. At the west end of the stadium there’s the John Stein Stand, that has a capacity of 13,006. Away fans are normally accommodated in a stand that’s similar to John Stein Stand, called Lisbon Lions Stand. The North Stand is the biggest of all, also called The Jungle and it can house upto 27,000 fans. The smallest stand is the south or main stand which holds only 7,850 spectators.
Brief History: The stadium is Celtic’s home since 1892 and during time, there were a lot of important games on this stadium. The record attendance was in 1938 when there were more than 90,000 people that came to view the derby against Rangers. The stadium was renovated in 1995 and in April 2007 the club announced that the Main Stand could be redeveloped in the next years to increase the stadium’s capacity with 8,000 seats.
