Description: Built in 1982, the stadium has a total capacity of 42,569 all-seated. Goodison Park became all-seated in 1994, taking the capacity to just over 40,000. Theoretically, they could still expand the stadium’s capacity but in 1996, the club announced it’s intention to leave from Goodison Park Stadium. The club has 4 stands: The Park End – smallest one, 6,000 seats; Bullens Road – 8,067 seats, Gwladys Street End – 10,155 seats and the biggest one, Main Stand, that has a capacity of 16,347 seats – a three tier stand.

Brief History: Goodison Park was first propose built football stadium in England. The stadium hosted a couple of important matches, a semi-final for the 1966 world cup, but probably the best match ever seen here was the semi-final against Bayern Munich in the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1985. Even though the stadium with highly modified in the 1990s, the club will soon move from Goodison Park to the New Goodison, which is going to have at least 50,000 seats and it’s going to be located in Kirkby. According to some predictions, the club will move to it’s new stadium from 2010, but until then, Goodison Park will remain Everton’s home.
