Description: Easter Road stadium has been renovated in 2001. It’s an all-seater stadium with a capacity of 17,500 and it has four stands named after the compass directions. The North and South Stand were built in 1995 and recently, a scoreboard was installed in the South Stand. The West Stand was built in 2001 and it has a capacity of 6,500 seats and the East Stand is still in development. When the East Stand will be finished and look like the other stands the stadium’s capacity should be around 21,000.
Brief History: The stadium was built in 1893 in Leith Area from Edinburgh. With a capacity of 17,500 this is the 7th largest stadium in Scotland. During time, there were a lot of matches with attendance over 50,000 but nowadays all stadiums have less places and greater security. The stadium’s modifications begun in the 1990s and in 2001 it was almost completely renovated.
