Brief Playing History: He started playing for Dundee in 1971 where he became the youngest ever captain, but only when he joined Aberdeen, he started winning titles. He managed to win twice the Scottish league, 3 times the Scottish cup and in 1983, when he was coached by Sir Alex Ferguson, he won the European Cup Winners Cup and European Super Cup. He soon moved to Manchester United, where he won the FA cup and a after a couple of years later he joined Leeds winning a Premier League Title. He ended his football player career in 1997 at Coventry city, after playing in 635 games and scoring 138 goals.
Brief Management history: After finishing his career as footballer he coached Coventry City, then he moved to Southampton, but only when he came back in Scotland, he started winning some trophies as a coach. He won the Scottish Premiership 2 years in a row, and he has also won the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish cup once.
