Brief Playing history: He started as in West Ham’s Youth team, but only in 1965 he singed with West Ham as a midfielder and he began his professional footballer career. His year of playing football weren’t really rewarding but he managed to play in a lot of games for West Ham and Bournemouth. He finished his football career in 1982 at Bournemouth.
Brief Management history: After finishing his football player career he remained at Bournebouth as a coach for the next 9 years. After a terrible accident in 1990 he lost his hopes of making performance with limited funds and he decided to quit in 1992. In 1994 he joined West Ham United where he managed to finish really well almost all seasons and he won Intertoto Cup. In 2002 he signed with Portsmoth and led the club to Premier League in 2003. He went for a year to coach Southampton and from 2005 he is back at Portsmoth coaching the team really well.
