Brief Playing History: His football player career lasted 18 years, from 1971 when he began professional football at Birmingham City as a midfielder. He was not a great player and he hasn’t played for really big clubs from Scotland or England, but he was devoted to the clubs where he played. He played for Birmingham almost 8 years and then, after a quick season at Cambridge, he moved into Holland, where he played at several teams in the 80s. He retired from his footballer career in 1989 at Heracles Almelo and hasn’t won any major trophees at any team he played.

Brief Management history: He was an assistant coach for a couple of years but in 1996 he decided to start as no1 coach and he began coaching Willen II Tilburg In Holland. Next year, he moved to NEC Nijmegen and in 1999 he came back in Scotland when he coached Dunfermline Athletic for a couple of years. From 2004, he was appointed as a coach at Aberdeen and he hasn’t won any major trophee yet.
