Kilmarnock FC play in the SPL, and they play at Rugby Park in Ayrshire. Killie are the oldest professional football club in scotland. Killie finished 5th on the 05/06 season but after selling top goalscorer and scotland international Kris Boyd to Rangers they lost there edge, in the 07/08 seasons Kilmarnock once again sold one of there best players (Steven Naismith) to Rangers. In the last couple of season’s manager Jim Jefferies has had to work on a tight budget therefore even although some of the best players they have had to bring through younger talent.
