Newcastle sit 3 points above relegation and are very much in need of any and all points they can get but it looks bleak as they have been in terrible form as of late and playing at Anfield this week will not help their case. Kevin Keegan is still searching for his first win as Newcastle boss. Liverpool have been in been in great form after their dissapointed at not having the possibility of winning the league but they have a battle on their hands for 4th with their Merseyside rivals Everton who look like they will be fighting till the end for that elustrious Champions League spot.

liverpool did well i know we would put up a fight after looseing to barnsly and then beating middelsbough and inter milan. we have a threat like gerrard and torres, a decent goalkeeper, reina, and we play well. torres, pennant and gerrard put the ball in the back of the net and after newcastle looseing to man utd 6-0 and 5-1 we had hope of beating them and it could of been more.
