Liverpool is the club that has won more trophies than any other English Club. Even though they’re last title was in 1990, they’ve got a record of 18 English League Titles, and they have also won 5 times European champions league, which is also another record for an English club.
The club is based in Merseyside, Liverpool, and probably their biggest rivals are Everton, the town neighbours, with whon they play each year in the Merseyside Derby. Also, Manchester United is another big rival, due to the success of both clubs, as well as the proximity to each other. Since they were founded, from 1892, Liverpool played only at Anfield. However, the new club owners, Tom Hicks and George Gilette, which bought the club in early 2007 have decided to build a new stadium, that could have 80,000 seats in 2010 near Stanley Park.
They have also won 7 times FA Cup and League Cup, Community Shield 15 Times and 3 times Uefa Cup and Uefa Super Cup. In 2006 Liverpool made a brilliant comeback from 3 goals in the Uefa Champions League Finals with AC Milan and managed to win 5th Champions League title with the help of their new manager, Rafael Benitez.
