Two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo helped Man UTD over come Tottenham 3-1 at Old Trafford. You wouldnt have put you’re money against Tottenham today after the mid-week drubbing of Arsenal, But history was against Tottenham again as they hadn’t won at Old Trafford since 1989.

Tottenham enjoyed most of the chances in the first half and took the lead in the 25th minute threw a Robbie Keane goal, Manchester United looked in bad shape as they couldnt break down the Spurs defence but Tevez managed to equalise 7 minutes before the first half.

After the break things looked rather even until the 69th minute where Micheal Dawson dodgily stopped Rooney from getting on goal by pushing the ball behind him with his arm. Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up to make it 2-1 from the penalty spot and Micheal Dawson was sent off for handling the ball. Ronaldo put the game beyond Tottenham two minutes from the end when a terrible goalkeeping mistake from Cerny let the ball slide right under him.
