Brief Playing History: He started his professional football player career in 1975 at the small team Greenock Morton as a striker and during his career he played at a lot of teams from Scotland and England. Few years after he started his career he moved to Newcastle United for 1 year, and then he came back in Scotland to play with the Aberdeen dream team that won European Cup Winners Cup in front of Real Madrid. At Aberdeen he also won twice the Scottish Premiership, 3 times Scottish Cup and in 1982 he was crowned the best Scottish Football Player. After this great period he went in germany for an year to play at Hamburg, then came back to Newcastle and in 1993 he finished his career at Reading in England.

Brief Management history: He started coaching at Reading, but until he trained only small teams and didn’t had big success in his coaching career only in lower leagues. He won twice the Division Two Title in England, once in 1994 with Reading and once in 2001 with Millwall. Also, he took Wolves in FA Cup semis in 1998. After managing a lot of teams from England, he came in Scotland in 2007 to coach Motherwell, where he’s doing a good job.
