Motherwell currently play in the SPL (top flight scottish football), their home stadium is fir park and manager is Mark McGhee.
Motherwell Player & Captain Phil ‘ODonnell 35 was strectchered off the park 12 minutes before the end of the game against Dundee United, he later died of cardiac arrest (29/12/07)… The footballing nation stood up and honoured the former celtic & shefield player with 1 minute silences held at every game in the UK as a mark of respect.
Mark McGhee tookover Motherwell June 18th 2007, and has guided them into the top half of the SPL this season after finished 10th last season, Alot of this goes down to Mark McGhee’s style of football he has worked with what he has and has introduced the much dubbed “sexy football” to fir park, with a style of play that involves 1,2 passes and keeping the ball on the ground.
