Description: Pride Park Stadium is a 33,597 all seater stadium located in Pride Park Derby. The stadium is pretty new, and it’s one of the most modern stadiums from England.

Brief History: Built in 1996, the stadium was officially opened in 1997 by Queen Elizabeth II on July 18, when Derby County played a friendly match against Sampdoria. The original plans where for a 26,000 seats stadium, but the stadium’s capacity had to be bigger for a club like Derby. Pride Park Stadium also hosted one England international game, when the stadium has all seats occupied, in a friendly game against Mexico. Also, the stadium hosted a couple of England U21s international matches. On april 2007 the club released details about a big investment in the stadium that would increase it’s capacity to 44,000 with the work going to take place during this football season. When it will be ready, the club’s highest attendance ever will be definitely overtaken. Also, at the stadium would be created a 165 bed hotel, bars, restaurants and office space. This whole project was called The Pride Plazza.
