Roma are almost in the same boat in Liverpool this season as the Champions League is realistically the only silverware they can win this season and this promises to be a tantalizing match with the La Liga leaders, Roma have not been in great form in the past few games only scoring one goal in their last 3. Real Madrid are sailing high this season with 18 wins from 24 games in La Liga and well above Barcelona who are their closest competitors.

Roma are undefeated at home in this season champions league campaign they only finished second in their group but this was because Manchester United have yet to be beaten in this season UEFA Champions League. Real Madrid Qualified top of their group by beating out Olympiacos on goal difference however they collected the same amount of points as Roma (11).

It was really a shocking defeat for the Spanish champions. Now, Real Madrid must win the home leg match if they want to win their quarter final berth of Champions League this season. The only good thing is that Real Madrid could score a goal which will give some advantage to Real Madrid because only a 1-0 victory is now enough for Real Madrid to get into the next round of Champions League. However, even that will not b easy for Real, despite the fact that they will play in front of the home crowd.

This was not a shocking win. Roma is playing great in Serie A at the moment. Roma is really playing well together. This was a great game and I respect Real Madrid as a team but I disagree, it was not a shocking win for Roma.
