Name: Roy Hodgson
Age: 60
Nationality: English
Current Club: Fulham
Brief Playing history: His football player career isn’t too well known and he hasn’t been a great football player. He played a couple of times for Crystal Palace but he hasn’t made it to the first team there and then he continued to play at non-league teams until he decided to try his luck with coaching.
Brief Management history: In 32 years coaching career we could say that Hodgson was a journeyman as he coached 15 teams. He started coaching in 1976 in Sweden at Halmstads BK and in Sweden he had his biggest successes probably. He managed to win Swedish League 5 times (twice with Halmstads and 3 times with Malmo). He has also spend a lot of time coaching teams from Switzerland and even Switzerland’s team. He managed to qualify the team to Euro ’96 but he left when he had the opportunity to coach Internationale. His latest big success was winning the Danish Superliga with FC Copenhagen in 2001 and from 2007 he was appointed as coach for Fulham.
