Name: Roy Maurice Keane
Age: 36
Nationality: Irish
Current Club: Sunderland
Brief Playing history: He started football as a midfielder at the small team Cobh Ramblers in 1989 and soon after, a scout from Nottingham Forest watched him play and he signed with the team one year later. Here he hasn’t done too well from start, but his gameplay improved and in 1993 he moved to Manchester United. He played for Manchester 12 years and he was appointed as captain for the team soon after Cantona left. In this time he has won a lot of trophees and it’s probably one of the players with the biggest number of trophees won. He lead United to win 6 times the English Premier League, the FA Cup 4 times and the Community Shield 4 times but probably his biggest achievement ever as a player is winning the Treble in 1999 with Manchester United. In that year the team managed to win the Premier League, FA Cup, European Champions League and soon after they’ve also won the International Cup. In 2005 his contract with Manchester United ended and he decided to end his career at Celtic where he also won a double in 2006: Scottish premier league and Scottish Cup.
Brief Management history: After ending his footballer career at Celtic he decided to start as a coach for Sunderland, a team that was in England’s Second Division and from his first season here, he managed to win Football League Championship and gain promotion for the team.
